Olamaboro, Kogi State – With the forthcoming council elections in Olamaboro Local Government fast approaching, Michael Samuel Idoko has reiterated his stance on the crucial issue of leadership and development in the local government. In a statement, Idoko emphasized that capability must be the top consideration in selecting the SDP chairmanship candidate.

Idoko noted that the local government faces numerous challenges, including inadequate infrastructure, poor healthcare, and limited economic opportunities. He stressed that the SDP chairmanship candidate must possess the requisite skills, experience, and vision to address these challenges and bring about meaningful development and progress.

“The capacity to deliver tangible results and improve the lives of our people is the ultimate litmus test for any aspiring candidate,” Idoko said. “I will therefore support an SDP chairmanship candidate who demonstrates the capability to defeat the APC chairmanship candidate and secure victory for the SDP, bring tangible development and progress to Olamaboro Local Government, provide effective leadership and representation for our people, and address the pressing needs and concerns of our local government.”

Idoko urged all stakeholders to join him in prioritizing capability and supporting a chairmanship candidate who can deliver real results for Olamaboro Local Government. He warned that anything less would be a disservice to the people and a betrayal of the trust they have reposed in the SDP.

The forthcoming council elections in Olamaboro Local Government are expected to be highly contested, with several candidates vying for the SDP chairmanship ticket. Idoko’s call for capability is seen as a rallying cry for supporters of the SDP to demand more from their leaders.
