According to the Eyewitness “Only Real Students will be allowed to Vote”

Sensing that defeat is inevitable for them, thugs sponsored by Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi caused tension and panic at the Ongoing Convention of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) earlier today in Abuja, the federal seat of power, shooting sporadically to scare real students away at the old parade ground venue of the accreditation for the election but the armed-to-teeth men of the under world were overpowered by vigilant men of the Nigeria Secret Police, the DSS.

The thugs, numbering over 100, were brought from Ado-Ekiti by one of the Presidential Aspirants being sponsored by Fayemi.

Sources at the convention ground told our correspondent that Fayemi’s thugs went haywire having sensed that the N30million Largessee shared to Student stakeholders yesterday was not doing the magic for them.

The real students, supported by DSS, stood their ground that only an authentic student of not more than 27 years of age should be elected as NANS President against Fayemi’s preference for a 42-year of Civil Servant from his State being backed because of his 2023 presidential ambition.

Fayemi is also currently lobbying the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to raise fund for his preferred candidate to buy delegates at N250,000 per head.

306 delegates will be voting at the convention.

Tertiary Institutions from South West Nigeria are currently doing their accreditation.

14 Aspirants are slugging it out for the Position of the President, with majority of them in their late 30’s and early 40’s while just two are less than 30.
