The Executive Chairman of Idanre Local Government Area, Hon. (Prince) Kayode Aroloye has again proceeded in fulfilling his campaign promises to the people of Idanre Local Government.
It will be recalled that, the Local Government boss, made some promises during his campaign, while contesting for the position of the Executive Chairman of Idanre Local Government Area, some of which has to do with, ensuring that Idanre Local Government gets a new face and of course be opened up for attractive developmental projects and motorable road networks.
It will however also be recalled that, recently, the Chairman went on inspection to some roads which are of economic and developmental importance to the Local Government Area, where he was particular about the construction and opening up of the CAC Grammer School road which links Odode with Alade, terminating at Alade Youths Center.
The people’s Chairman has hence, taken the bold step towards making this promise a reality as the first face of the road project kicks off.
To as many who are familiar with facts relating to the CAC Grammer School road, they will attest to it that, there has been a drastic reduction in the population of students over the years as a result of this bad road. It is however on record that, in years past, the school had over a thousand students, but the negative impact of the road has contributed to the drastic reduction of the number of students in the school to as low as two hundred students.
Moreover, the bad road in the said area, has convincingly slow tracked development in the area and by extension in the Local Government at large. This however became a serious concern to the Chairman even as he takes it to be a challenge that shouldn’t be ignored.
The Chairman while supervising the ongoing work, emphasised on the need to open up the route for the benefit of the people in that particular area and of course the two towns that are linked together by the road.
“This is one of the major roads that should not be neglected due to it’s level of importance. This road will with no doubt, add to the economic development of Idanre Local Government, encourage more students to be registered in CAC Grammer School situated along the road and also relief our people whose farmlands and houses are located along this route.”
“We promised our people, that we will to a reasonable extent and through the grace of God, enhance Development and this will by extension place our Local Government in an enviable position amongst other Local Government Areas in Ondo state. We have been to the nooks and crannies of Idanre Local Government and we know what is to be done in different areas. With the grace and opportunity given to us by God, we have started and we will remain focused on delivering on our promises to our people.” The Chairman said.
On their part, some of the users of the road and those residing in the area showered words if prayers and appreciated the Chairman for taking this great step towards alleviating their road related difficulties.
