Why would anyone be suprised seeing traditionally nomadic politicians move so unsettled from pillar to post in such a manner that explains their original intent of greed and selfishness?
Who should anyone be surprised at Friday Makama’s defection to the APC enterprise, the same party and people he claimed almost killed him and people who according to him represents the folly?
Isn’t it so glaring now that most politicians have no ideology other than greed and self want? Isn’t this same Makama part of the group at the Kogi State House of Assembly that gave Yahaya Bello the audacity to engage in all sort of power abuse from the word go?
I have never taken him serious considering his history. Now it is better explained that people need you when they want to be heard and when that is done, they take advantage of that solidarity for their selfish gains.
The honest truth is this, in the last Governorship election in Kogi, I told a team in confidence that it is time to replace Makama because I don’t see trust and sincerity in his eyes. I was doubted but today, those words are justified.
As much as everyone reserves their rights to freedom of association, do that without dragging others into your woes. For everyone who stood with this fellow when he was being manhandled by Yahaya Bello and company, I am sure they will be bitting off their nails today.
Don’t be surprised. This is the characteristics of Nigeria’s politics. No ideology. Bandwagon business as usual. If you can’t beat them, join them sick and slave “mentality.
