Enemama Sam: The new face of beggarly hypocrisy in Kogi State— Alex Agbo

I ran into an article forwarded to me by a friend purportedly written by certain Enemama Sam Akubor. It was titled: Help our Austin Usman Okai has gone mad again.
First, let me say I am not a politician. I am a citizen. As it is, I am qualified to air my view on matters of importance. That said, I want to start by expressly stating that the said article isn’t worth the space it is written on. It is full of errors such that I almost developed a migraine trying to make sense of the trash.
Why did I call it trash? The answer is simple. There was no content, no statistical information to back up the barrage of insults that is his write up. This brings to the fore the quality of those trying to shoot down opinions of concern about the child’s play that is called government in Kogi State.
The major issue good old uncle Sam was trying to address is still lost on me. Okay, let me guess. What I see as a trend among most junction comrades across Kogi State is that they love to insult people to market their hypocrisy.
It is a shame that instead of our youths to get a way of making legit money, they are busy trying to cut corners by defending a government that has almost killed its own state with unpaid salaries, lack of basic amenities including common potable water not to talk of electricity.
I traveled from Lagos to my hometown in Kogi state recently. Driving from Okene to Ajaokuta, a journey of 30 minutes maximum took me close to an hour. I did not get to see any security presence on my way.
In the days of the past administrations on Wada and Ibrahim Idris, the bridge across the river Niger which links Ajaokuta to Itobe used to have street lights that would help motorists see their way at night. Nowadays, the poles and the bulbs have been reduced to mere spectacles.
Are we to speak of security? The Okene-Auchi, Okene-Lokoja, Abuja-Lokoja highways are all impassable. Travelers ply the roads with their hearts in their mouths. People are lucky to not get gunned down by miscreants in Kogi State. I am not even talking of the hinterlands where almost every town is a den of criminals.
To be honest, quite a number of our youths are becoming lazy. But even the old men are becoming shamelessly lazier. I expected an old man of Sam’s looks and age to be objective and not just jump on his computer to type empty insults instead of facing the issues bedevilling the state. Or is it that he is looking for some sort of favour?
If I was Bello, I’d call Sam to order. He is doing a lot of damage to the presidential ambition Bello nurses. His overzealous behaviour is casting the garb of intolerance, lack of probity and absolutism on the character of Bello.
Governor Yahaya Bello’s ambition to become the president of Nigeria is within his rights as a citizen. Many believe in him. They support him. Everyone cannot support him. Trying to bully those whose who do not support Bello on his behalf is hypocrisy taken too far.
Like the late professor Chinua Achebe said: let the eagle perch, let the kite perch. There should be limits to hypocrisy. Only when we have had a dialogue can we reach a conclusion on the way forward. Nigeria needs a lot of dialogue instead of media violence.
