The just concluded Who is Who in Igalaland is generating different reactions as usual. Some are saying, why should such an event take place in Abuja and not Ane Igala? And some saying, Abuja is the convergence of Nigerians, anyone from anywhere can gather in Abuja for any event.
Let it be corrected that the Who is Who in Igalaland is not an award ceremony. It is a compendium of Igala sons and daughters doing exploits in different chosen field of their career. There is no medal or plague to that effect. The book will serve as a reference material to know who is who in Igalaland. That way, mentors can be sourced and opportunities can be tapped. Amodu Hilary should be applauded for making available a database for the Igala kingdom.
No be everything we go criticise especially when we are not doing anything ourselves.
The Igala Education Summit which holds every year in Anyigba has continued to suffer dearth of guests and boycotted by the same people criticising Amodu Hilary ‘s Who Is Who In Igalaland, a venture he started 30 years ago when most of the critics were still in their panties.
