A brave 15 year-old girl from Wedela town, Gauteng shot dead the man who was raping her on Saturday, 6th March, 2021 around 9pm.
“The young girl who had been forced into the bush at gun point by the suspect was ordered to undress. The man also undressed and proceeded to rape her,” Police said.
But the girl saw an opportunity when she spotted her rapist’s firearm on the ground as he raped her, grabbed it and shot him point-blank in the head and he died instantly.
Police have seized and arrested the body of the rapist, and investigation to identify the deceased rapist is ongoing.
The young girl is currently receiving care and counseling to help her recover from the trauma she experienced.
