The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt Gen Ibrahim Attahiru who is in Rivers State on an operational visit of Units under the 6th division of the Nigerian Army was today received at the Executive Chamber of the Rivers State Government House.
Hovernor Wike shared with them on the need to maintain the professionalism of Nigerian Army as they are highly respected organization that ought to be seperated from partisan politics.
Governor Wike also urged the Chief of Army Staff to restore respect to the Army and make a difference by ensuring the Army under his watch focuses on its core mandate of protecting the territorial integrity of the Nation and securing its citizens.
The Rivers State Government on its part is fully committed to supporting the Army and other security agencies to ensure the safety and security of our citizens.
