The Honorable Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Committee on Steel Development, Rep. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has held an interactive Session with His Constituents resident in Abuja.
The parley which held at the Ladi Kwali hall of Amanda Garden, Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, also availed the Honorable Member an opportunity to recap his major achievements in the period under review.
Rep. Halims while making his remarks noted that the primary assignment of a Lawmaker is to be a voice of reason cum action for the electorates and He with all self humility, made bold to say He Hasn’t only been a voice but a leading one as far as the House of Representatives is concerned.
Among other things, Rep Halims listed his bills, motions and projects which include the Bill for an act to provide the legal framework to establish the Federal Medical Centre Ankpa, the motion calling on the Federal Government to urgently complete the Bagana – Guto bridge and the massive empowerment of over one thousand Constituents respectively as some of his efforts towards bettering the lots of the people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency.
Constituents who made separate remarks on behalf of the three Local Government Areas of Hon Halims’ jurisdiction and a woman, who spoke for gender balance all commended Hon Halims for his efforts so far, especially in the area of providing potable water as well as open door policies for all concern.
Highlight of the session were a special remark by a friend of the Constituency and a former Kogi State Governorship Candidate, Citizen Umar Pharooq Akwu, group photograph and an distribution of special souvenirs.
