Anambra State PDP Governorship Aspirant Dr. Godwin Maduka has extended heartfelt greetings to Christians as they celebrate Easter.
In a statement issued today Dr. Godwin Maduka said: “At this moment when the country is in severe need of a new democratic dispensation, I extend a hearty felicitation to our dear Christian families all across Anambra State and the country”.
“By historic effect, Easter corroborates quite well with the present situation of our dear state and country . we need socio-political resurrection in order to return hope to our people. For this to come to life, we all need to make huge sacrifice and place our State and coutry on a high priority.
According to him “Easter is celebrated by Christians as a joyous holiday because it represents the fulfillment of the prophecies of the Old Testament and the revelation of God’s salvation plan for all of humankind. In commemorating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, Easter also celebrates the defeat of death and the hope of salvation. As we share love and kind gestures this season, I urge us all to continue walking in path of God in all endeavours during and after the period. Happy Easter Celebration!”.
