Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has described the recent demises of Their Royal Highnesses, Late Eze Emmanuel Ajibo, Late Eze Emmanuel Okeye and Late Eze Hyacinth Ijere, as colossal losses to Izzi clan and all donates One Million Naira ( 1,000,000. ) to each of the families.
The Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, who led the entire clan on condolence visits to the three royal families, yesterday, noted that death gave the Izzi people a shocking blow at such a critical time in the history of the clan.
In thanking God for the gifts of their admirable lives to humanity, especially the clan, Speaker Nwifuru admonished the three families to uphold the legacies of their fathers and always remain united, as that will not only please the souls of their fathers in heaven, but help them to lead even better lives.
Speaker Nwifuru equally reminded the families that it is not in the tradition of the Izzi people to prolong funeral preparations. So, to help them off their feet in planning and other preparations for the funerals, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru donated the sum of One Million Naira (N1,000,000.00) to each of the three families, on behalf of the clan, through Onwa Oferekpe Foundation.
His Excellency, Arc. Edward Nkwegu, who was part of the delegation, praised the efforts of the royal fathers and implored their respective families to take solace in their late fathers’ footprints. In his words of commiserations, he reminded them that it is only but a natural order of events for their fathers to have gone before them.
The three Princes from the royal families thanked clan for the respect and love which they demonstrated towards their families. They praised the sincere efforts of Speaker Nwifuru in ensuring that Izzi clan continues in the part of unity.
Late Eze Emmanuel Ajibo was the Mgbomeze 1 of Agalegu Ishieke in Ebonyi Local Government Council; Late Eze Emmanuel Okeye was of Nkaleke Echara Ndebor in Ebonyi Local Government Council; while Late Eze Hyacinth Ijere led the good people of Ndiechi Ezza Inyimegu of Izzi Local Government Area.
Other notable figures from the clan who were in attendance included; HRH Eze Sunday Oketa, Hon. Benjamin Ezeoma (Deputy Chief Whip of Ebonyi State House of Assembly), Hon. Anthony Onyibe Nwegede, Hon. Joseph Ununu, Chief Mrs. Chinyere Nwogbaga, Hon. Chief Moses Oshibe, Hon. Kenneth Nwovu (Chairman Onwa Oferekpe Foundation), Chief Mathias Adum, Barr. Boniface Ezaegu, Mrs Beatrice Eze (For Coordinators Forum), Chief Fidelis Nwifuru and many others.
