The Chairman Steering Committee of Deacon Job and Omada Onoja Foundation, Dr. Daniel Adejo Itodo Eulogizes Chief Ogwu James Onoja SAN on the Occasion of the Commissioning of a Block of 3 Classrooms built and Donated by the Foundation on the 5th day of June, 2021.
Deacon Job and Omada Onoja Foundation is a non-political organization founded by Chief Ogwu James Onoja SAN and his lovely wife to alleviate poverty and dejection among communities for better life .
The Chairman Steering Committee of the foundation , Dr. Daniel Adejo Itodo thank Chief Ogwu James Onoja and his lovely wife for granting him and other members of the committee the privilege to be part of the foot soldiers of Deacon Job and Omada Onoja Foundation in their quest to minimize Poverty. He said ” we made ourselves available to be of assistance to the Founders – Chief and Mrs Ogwu James Onoja SAN to serve as foot soldiers “.
According to the Steering Committee Chairman Dr. Daniel Adejo Itodo ” The first outing of the foundation was the building of an industrial borehole at Ofante Ogugu with dual power supply solar and electricity powered . Also in Ofante Ogugu is the annual sport competition ( Unyi Ogugu Football League ) funded solely by the Co-founder of Deacon Job and Omada Onoja Foundation, the foundation has paid NECO fee for students at Ofante community High School and Ejule Community Grammar School since the past two academic sessions and there are 30 persons of indigent backgrounds of Deacon Job and Omada Onoja Foundation scholarship from different families in Ofante while 12 others who benefited have graduated. It is of note to say that the scholarship award is #50,000.00 per annum per Awardee for the period or duration of the academic programme in any field in tertiary institutions”.
It is paramount to point out that Chief Ogwu James Onoja SAN and his wife have no Political ambition. Their humanitarian gesture is a gift they received from God and not a ploy to garner Political favour or votes.
The Steering Committee Chairman also speak on the Adumu Project . According to him ” The law of priority is evident in the sense that for Chief Ogwu James Onoja SAN, after Ofante , it must be Adumu . The reason is that Adumu gave us a world class QUEEN , the mother of his children- Mrs Rosemary Onoja who is a Chartered Accountant of global repute. The reason why we embark on the School building is because the community preference is education therefore the foundation’s preference after two visitations upheld education as an emergency. We saw dilapidated structures all over and the lack of teaching and learning facilities made the community secondary school unattractive”.
He added that , education is the most veritable instrument to fight against Poverty and win. That is why Deacon Job and Omada Onoja Foundation chose to address education. The block of three classrooms is a structure conceived to be durable and standing strong without cracks even in the next 100 years . The roofing guard is 45mm judged to be standard for the purpose of the project. All the blocks are strong 9″ blocks. The furniture ( Chairs and tables ) are of standard density and are durable. The total cost of the project being commissioned today is about 14 million naira only . A good estate valuer in current terms, given the 2021 price level , is likely to put the value at about 21 Million Naira.
In all these, we see the manifestation of God’s grace. I know that is is purely by grace and also the fact that God saw in Chief Ogwu James Onoja SAN and his amiable wife , the heart hungry for grace, he added .
Finally, the Steering Committee Chairman thank Chief Ogwu James Onoja SAN and his wife for giving them an opportunity to learn solitude , friendship and society without which this project would have been a failure. He pray that , his purpose driven life will ever be unstoppable and his Selfless services for humanity will speak for him before God always .
