Nigerian super Star musical Artist, Jocey Joseph Ekwuazi known professionally as Willie XO in financial trouble as label strip him of cars and Jewellery. Willie XO must repay 1.5M dollars to SBMG or face legal action after a massive fall out with his label.
Rumor has it that several major labels including Sony, Universal and others have been keen to work with the Afrobeats artist for quite sometime now but SBMG had blocked the deals saying that all deals must go through them and making unreasonable demands.
Willie XO has defied SBMG and secretly had meetings with the major labels which has lead to an irreconcilable fall out within his camp. This prompted the label to seize several vehicles from Willie including a Rolls Royce and Bentley along with several items of jewelleries said to be worth around $500k, in order to recover some of their investments.
Willie XO has since been blocked from releasing any music whatsoever including collaborations with some major artists which SBMG had financed. Willie XO known for screaming “the mulla no small” is said to be startled and very depressed about the recent developments and has reportedly gone awol for some months now.
Now that his wings have been yanked off by the label, one wonders if he will be screaming “the mulla is too small” .
