The free voting system by Big Brother Naija in Season 6 generated so much reactions both online and offline.
Organisers of BBNaija announced that there will be no SMS voting as voting for favourite housemates will be free on Dstv/gotv Apps and websites.
This development has generated different reactions from Big Brother Naija fans.
Some viewers applauded the organisers for the change, stating that free voting gives housemates an equal chance to win as celebrity will now find it difficult to influence the choice of winner.
Apart from the fact that voting in this season is free, the 30 viewers at home also get to win awesome cash prizes of 1million each.
However, some wondered how the organisers would generate funds. Fortunately, I am one of those and I believe you are too.
Below are some if the ways I feel the organisers will make profit:
1. ShowMAX
Everyone who knows Toke knows that she is a presenter to reckon with.
ShowMAX which translates to mean showing the maximum is being hosted by Toke Makinwa the screen goddess.
ShowMAX shows the most interesting parts of the program to some extent.
People will definitely subscribe to show max for premium content which will in turn, generate funds for the organizers.
2. DSTV subscribers
The organisers during the season premiere talked about how people who subscribed for certain bouquet get more voting power than others.
Fans will subscribe higher packages .
Fans who used to subscribe just compact might decide to subscribe compact plus to increase their voting power. This will in turn increase more funds for the organisers.
3. DSTV and GOTV
This is another Avenue for the company to gain popularity as people will now want to get either dstv or gotv to be able to vote for their favourite contestants.
4. DSTV and GOTV websites
We should all expect mad traffic on their websites since it is now considered a voting site.
Even people who ordinarily would never have visited their website are most likely going to do so.
5. A 30-minute show tagged ‘THE BUZZ’
The new season will feature an exclusive 30-minute show called The Buzz twice a week where viewers can get all the hidden action they may miss on other channels.
The dedicated series will be a magazine-styled show with a host which will be released twice every week – on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
