I sat back into my couch while I tried to connect the dots as to what is prompting the audacity at which the Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Mr. Asuku seem to be nursing plans to run for the Kogi’s top job.
Put together, I see the entire drama as a crossroad where ambition clashes with karma. While Asuku on one hand is being over ambitious in what I consider a reckless zeal driven by opportunism, on the other hand, could it be said to be a case of what you reap is what you sowed with reference to the 2019 Kogi Governorship election playbook by the then Chief of Staff, Edward Onoja now Deputy Governor?
In all, I beg to reiterate that if you ever criticised Edward Onoja sake of his role in the wake of the 2019 Governorship election in which he was and still seen as a betrayer of the Igala people, and you are supporting Asuku’s agenda because you think it’s time to cut your own pound of flesh, hear this loud and clear, you are worse than Edward Onoja.
Meanwhile, Asuku’s promoters and praise singers, tell Asuku that being a Chief of Staff is not a qualification to becoming a State Governor and nursing such ambition over Edward Onoja is nothing short of disrespect, dishonor, and betrayer regardless.
Kogi deserves better than anything coming from the current crop of its managers.
