The Old Aguata Union (OAU) -consisting of Orumba North LGA, Orumba South LGA and Aguata LGA and Aguleri – are both in the extremes of Anambra landscape. The good news is that the two political power blocks are forming an alliance that will serve the state well. This fledging alliance is anchored on fidelity and mutual respect.
January 2, 2022 is a landmark day for the crystallization of the said alliance. It was a day the who is who in the Old Aguata Union stormed Aguleri to express their gratitude to Governor Willie Obiano for his immeasurable gesture in resolutely supporting Cee Cee Soludo for governor. The beauty of it all is that Obiano’s support has no strings attached but is for the overall interest of the state, as he is convinced that Soludo can take Anambra higher and higher.
Obiano is one of the four outstanding individuals that OAU has conferred titles on. He is the Agunaechemba of OAU. In Supporting Soludo for governor, he led from the front like the lion he is; roaring when there was the need to put the oppositions in check or sending the cold chills down their spines by running circles around them and sending them scampering for safety. He shot from all cylinders for the victory we are savouring and many agreed that his support is uncommon and rare.
It is possible that his ammunition would have been depleted in such epic battle that the Anambra November 6, 2021 Gubernatorial Election was. It was therefore a thoughtful and befitting gesture by OAU to present him a Royal Sword appropriate and befitting of a warrior who came, saw, conquered and returned home safely. Happily, Obiano is finishing strong and harbours no doubt that Soludo will perform more than him. Again this open disposition is rare.
In all, Anambra is in for sweet times as we move from glory to glory.
