And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
John 17:11
As many Pastors are further disuniting the Christian Community , music ministers have broken that barrier. I listen to Sinach not minding she is from Christ Embassy and her Ministry is Blessing millions of Christians all over the world from Nigeria to South Africa to Europe and America. I listen to Dosin Oyekan not minding which Denomination he came from. No day I don’t listen to Dosin Oyekan and his Ministration takes me to another realm of spirituality.
Some years back I was surprised when I read from Don Moen the American Gospel singer that he has Frank Edwards the Nigerian gospel singer songs in his handset and most of the songs are in Igbo but the songs blesses him(Imagine a White man who doesn’t understand Igbo language saying Igbo Gospel songs blesses him). And he promised to do what the music guys call ‘collabo’ with Frank Edward, which they have already done call , ‘Grace’ and another call ‘Morning Bells’.
I love to listen to our Hausa gospel singers up north here. I don’t care which Church Mr. Peculiar, Autan Zaki (The Gospel Emir) , Solomon Lange, Yan Shatan Al Masihu, Kaestrings or Noella (Mortal Man ,Awesome God) Worships. They bless me and Millions of Christians are blessed by their Ministrations not knowing which Churches they come from.
What the Gospel Ministry have achieved breaking denominational Barriers, I see some Pastors and some members trying by all means to bring this denominational thing into the gospel Ministry. I wasn’t happy recently when a member of a Church in Nigeria wrote an open letter criticising his General Overseer for inviting the following Gospel Ministers ; Nathaniel Bassey, Don Moen, Collin McDowell and Paul Baloche to its programme. And also the General Overseer adopting Dosin Oyekan as his adopted Son. According.to this denominational Christian the General Overseer is introducing strange spirit into the Church.
He made mention of some of the musicians wear earrings and trousers which is strange to the Church, as his reasons. I am a supporter of modesty in everything not only in the Church. But I believe Jesus didn’t bring estremism to us rather Jesus brought balance in everything we do . That’s why Jesus could say any of you without sin cast the first stone and he chided the woman I didn’t condemn you but go and sin no more.
“Jesus thought for a moment and then replied, “He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her.” The people crowded around him were so touched by their own consciences that they departed.
I remember.when this denominational Christian General Overseer, visited President Muhammadu Buhari a Muslim at Aso Rock Villa he never wrote an open letter criticising his General Overseer for bringing a strange spirit into the Church from a Muslim. But his General Overseer inviting Gospel Ministers Christians like him, not only from Nigeria but around the world , they are bringing into the Church strange spirits. They speak as if every other Christian will go to hell only their Church denomination members will go to heaven. Maybe their Church has a signboard in Heaven.
I encourage the Gospel Ministers to do what they are doing , do not toil the line of some Pastors and denominational Church members who instead to help in uniting Christaindom as Jesus Prayed before His Ascension, theirs is to disunite us further because of doctrines they set up for themselves. Also gospel Ministers do not compromised in anyway remain faithful to your calling. Do not sing because you want to make money, do not sing for fame or entertainment, sing because you are Ministering unto the Lord and you want to win souls for the Lord through your ministrations. YAHWEH ELOHIM HAS BLESSED YOUR EFFORTS.
YOU ARE BLESSED
