In recent history, politicians are faced with myriad obstacles going into any contest at the polls, it has negatively soaked our political theatre and there’s an urgent need to sanitize the minds of the electorates by bringing onboard leaders who’re not only ready to deliver dividends of democracy, but also in touch with the current reality.
These are voluntary barriers inserted by warped & counterfactual navigation of politicians privileged enough to represent their own people at some level of our democratic configuration. They explore anti-people options, defeating the very goal of democracy before our eyes, thereby implanting the narrative that “politicians are the same”. The electorates now find it difficult to detect and or accept a political savior even when he comes knocking, because this narrative has become innate in our minds. It’s now time to rewrite such wrongs that entangled our political landscape by paving the way for candidate with the wherewithal to lead not the urge to loot.
This is the fate of Inhabitants Dekina/Bassa, a constituency in search of what adds value to her people, not who takes value from resources readily available to the people. This all-important search has its answer embedded in Hon Usman Austin Okai, who is making his maiden outing at the polls in February next year.
Usman Okai Austin, has over the years coughed every reason to be entrusted with a public office. As young and vibrant as he is, his ability to lobby the prospects of his people is second to none. He demonstrated it against the government, standing tall against the heat emitted by bad rulership of the people for eight ceaseless years, absorbing numerous arrests & harassment in the process.
The Activist will be on the ballot next year. He is ready to be an answer to the age-long search in Dekina/ Bassa. He is by all standards, a veracious political activist who has on numerous occasions marshalled home his love and resolve for the masses.
