The Labour Party in Kogi State on Friday 27th November, released its Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) list for the 2023 general election.
Some of the members included Alhaji Usman Ikeleji who would serve as Chairman State Campaign Council, Mr. Ibrahim Abdulganiyu as Secretary State Campaign Council and Dr. Paul Odoba who will serve as DG Campaign.
Also in the council were Ibrahim Muhammed Shettima, Co-Coordinator Kogi Central, Ocholi Usman as Co-Coordinator Kogi East and Taiwo Ijumu Co-Coordinator for Kogi West respectively.
Past. Ojonugwa Alhassan would serve as Campaign Manager, while Halima Ohunene Muhammed would serve as Dep. Campaign Manager Central, Mr Amade as Dep. Campaign Manager East and Muhammed Sunusi Ibrahim as Dep. Campaign Manager West.
Other offices in the list includes various Directorates of the campaign council.
A chieftain of the party High-Chief Peter Ameh who spoke with our correspondence said, “As a party that is democratic, we have to accommodate all interests in the party, reason for the rich and intimidating list you see today”.
“We have been working on the list and I am highly elated today to announce to you that we are certified with the list and that is what we are presenting today.
“We are presenting the presidential council list as well as the committee and it is also pertinent to put on record that we did all we can to accommodate every interest,” he said.
He appealed to all Labour Party supporters in the state who have been working for the party to continue to do their best in supporting the party.
“I want to appreciate all our candidates who have been working tirelessly to establish the party. This call, like we have always maintained, is a patriotic duty that history has entrusted on us at this time,” he said.
He expressed optimism and confidence that the PCC no doubt would lead the presidential campaigns and Nigerians would support Labour Party programmes and the men of integrity being paraded to win the election.
He said that the Labour Party remained grateful to all members of the party, members of the presidential campaign council, volunteers, and sympathisers for their interest and commitment.
