The executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, has today withdrawn a statement linking Barrister Natasha Akpoti to terrorist attacks in Kuje prison break and Owo massacre respectively.
The statement by the State government which follows the 5 billion lawsuit against the Governor, by Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan, seeks to withdraw the claims made a couple of weeks ago against the People’s Democratic Party, Senatorial candidate in Kogi Central.
In response to Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan’s 5 billion naira defamatory suit against the Kogi state government, state governor and Kingsley fanwo ; the three defendants DENY issuing statements connecting Natasha Uduaghan to terrorism or calling for her arrest.
Recall that the governor had asked security agencies to invite the Senatorial candidate following claims of terrorism in the state.
According to the lawyer, the derogatory remarks made against her by Yahaya Bello are totally false and injurious to her in the eyes of the public.
The governor, however, disowned the statement, adding that the said statement is untrue and unfounded and therefore should be discarded.
