I extend my heartfelt wishes to the Christian faithful on this special occasion of Christmas. This festival celebrates the birth of the Prince of Peace and the timeless values of compassion, love, tolerance, and forgiveness that the birth and example of Jesus Christ profoundly teach.
Christ was not constrained by the circumstances of His birth; He set an example of the power of faith, assuring us that we can rise above our current circumstances.
We are all nothing on this Earth. Look at the events that happened in Kogi state within the last 3 months and teach yourself lesson from it.
Power is transient. Where are all those that wanted their own people dead because of worthily things then? We are all the same today. They’re now powerless than some of us and this should be a lesson for all of us.
Are we here to talk about what our father’s left behind for us or the life their lived while on Earth? We should be ambassador of peaceful and coexistence.
We shouldn’t lose hope because of the bad eggs among us. Despite the current challenges of fuel subsidy removal and the theft of our mandate, we should keep hope alive as we honor the Prince of Peace during these difficult times.
Let us commit to peace and goodwill towards all. Both Christians and Muslims can emulate the example of Jesus Christ, striving to be better than we are today by combining faith with exemplary conduct.
Continue to trust in God and have faith in the good intentions of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian judiciary, believing that our stolen mandate will be reclaimed soon.
It’s painful that Kogi State is not benefiting from the funds released by the president to address the fuel subsidy removal, while other states enjoy salary increments and 13-month payments.
Despite these challenges, with ceaseless prayers, I firmly believe that the pains we experience today will diminish when the fruits of our sacrifice manifest abundantly.
I pray that the Lord will preserve our lives in good health to witness, feel, and enjoy the new glory of our state in the near future.
