The Senior Special Assistant on Farm Input to the Kogi State Government, Hon. Honorius Arome, has applauded the recent appointment of Hon. Jackson Omonu as the Managing Director of the Kogi Oil Producing Commission, describing it as a timely and well-deserved recognition of Ibaji’s place in the state’s development.

In a statement released on Sunday, Hon. Arome expressed deep appreciation to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for what he called “a bold and inclusive decision,” emphasizing that the choice of an indigenous son of Ibaji to head the oil-producing agency is not only historic but a show of genuine love for the people of Ibaji.

“This appointment is a proud moment for every Ibaji indigene. We thank His Excellency for remembering us and showing that this government belongs to all. Hon. Jackson Omonu is competent, experienced, and passionate about grassroots development. I have no doubt he will make Ibaji and Kogi proud in this new role,” Arome stated.

He also commended Governor Ododo for other silent but impactful strides he has made in Ibaji land since assuming office, especially in the areas of rural infrastructure, education, and community empowerment.

Hon. Arome pledged his unwavering support for the Governor and promised a block vote from the Ibaji people in 2027, assuring that Governor Ododo will record a resounding victory from the region.

“We will repay this trust with loyalty and unity. Come 2027, Ibaji is Ododo’s stronghold. The entire local government will speak with one voice, and it will be a voice of victory,” he affirmed.
