The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna State has announced sweeping leadership changes, expelling several top officials and appointing Senator Nenadi Usman and Hon. Bashir Saidu as the new Chairman and Co-Chairman of the State Coalition.

The decision was made during a press conference held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Golden Orange Gate Hotel, Narayi High Cost, Kaduna. The meeting was convened to address internal disputes and alleged infiltration attempts by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a communiqué issued after the meeting, the coalition leaders accused the APC of sponsoring divisions within the opposition to weaken the ADC’s growing influence in Kaduna State. They condemned what they described as “mercenary politics” and external interference, citing recent court actions against respected leaders such as Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and Mallam Jaafaru Sani.
Following a review of internal developments, the ADC State Working Committee, led by Elder Patrick Didam Ambut, approved the expulsion of several members including Deputy Chairman Alh. Ahmed Tijjani Mustapha, State Publicity Secretary Engr. Idris Musa, State Vice Chairman Zone 1 Suleiman Abdullahi, and others.
The party also blacklisted Hon. Adamu Ahmed Dattijo, Alh. Suleiman Abdullahi, and Sen. Musa Bello for instituting a court case against coalition leaders without due process, describing the move as an act of sabotage.
In a bid to restore discipline and reposition the ADC ahead of the 2027 elections, Senator Nenadi Usman and Hon. Bashir Saidu were unanimously endorsed to lead the coalition in Kaduna State. Their appointment, the statement noted, marks a new beginning for the ADC as it seeks to unite opposition voices and build a strong platform capable of challenging the APC’s dominance.
The meeting ended with renewed calls for unity, discipline, and collective action to reclaim Kaduna State from what the coalition described as “the hopelessness of the current regime.”
