The distinguished lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Natasha Hadiza Akpoti-Uduaghan, has assumed her new national assignment as the Chairperson of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention Entertainment and Welfare Committee, with a rallying call for creativity, inclusiveness, and innovation as the party prepares for its much-anticipated national convention.
At the inaugural meeting of the committee held ahead of the PDP National Convention scheduled for November 15th and 16th, 2025, in Oyo State, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan charged members to be proactive, dynamic, and forward-thinking in executing their duties. She emphasized that the committee’s work goes beyond routine logistics — it must reflect the PDP’s renewed commitment to vibrancy, youth engagement, and national unity.
In her address, the senator highlighted the crucial role of the Entertainment and Welfare Committee in redefining the convention experience through the infusion of youthful energy, creativity, and innovation. According to her, the time has come for the PDP to position itself as the preferred political platform for Nigeria’s young generation, one that embraces their voices and celebrates their artistic expressions.
