The Ejokab Development Association (EDA) has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting its members and the community, with a heartwarming condolence visit to the family of the late Mrs. Mary Momoh Ochodu Richard. The visit, which took place on September 13th, 2024, was a proof to the association’s dedication to providing comfort and assistance during difficult times.

Mrs. Mary, an Abuja-based resident of Ejule Ofante Ogugu, passed away last month during childbirth, leaving behind a newborn baby. The tragic event sent shockwaves through the community, and the EDA was quick to respond with a condolence visit to the grieving family.

During the visit, the EDA Chairman, Hon. John Ojodomo Chuks, addressed the late Mrs. Mary’s family, urging them to have faith in Christ Jesus and find solace in the fact that their loved one was now at peace. He also emphasized the importance of supporting the family left behind and prayed for God’s guidance and strength during this difficult time.

In a remarkable display of generosity, the EDA opened a bank account for the motherless newborn baby, depositing N100,000 (one hundred thousand naira only) to ensure the child’s well-being and future. This selfless act is a proof to the association’s commitment to making a positive charitable impact in the lives of  people and the community.

The EDA’s condolence visit and support for the late Mrs. Mary’s family demonstrate the association’s dedication to its members and the community. As the Chairman, Hon. John Ojodomo Chuks, aptly put it, “We will always admit the essence of the family left behind, and we pray God gives her relatives and loved ones the courage to stand this irrevocable loss.”

The Ejokab Development Association’s steady support and compassion serve as a hope and inspiration to the community, and their selfless acts will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the lives of those they touch.
