*NO ONE CAN BULLY THE PERSONALITY OF ICDA NATIONAL PRESIDENT*
It has become pertinent and expedient to clear the air and set the records straight as the ICDA under the leadership of Alh Sadiq A. Amodu has constantly been under threat and attacks of varying degrees. The intensities of these needless and baseless attacks have constantly been on the increase, reasons for the attacks are not clear and can’t be explained to the public by the usurpers.
The ICDA is a socio cultural organization that is duly registered with the CAC and has a constitution that guides its composition and operational procedures, the composition of its Exco and BOT follows a laid down constitutional provision and same must be applied to challenge any illegality or abuse of power. The spread of the ICDA as the mother body of all Igala socio cultural organization is domiciled in all 36 states of the federation and the FCT Abuja and this spread goes outside the shores of Nigeria.
The ICDA under Alh Abubakar Sadiq Amodu has recorded quite a lot of achievements for the kingdom which includes but not limited to :
I, Building of the Igala Unity House at Anyigba. This edifice has become a source of pride to everyone from Igala land as the former building used to be an eye sore and a place where refuse was dumped.
Il, Introduction of Ero oli festival to celebrate our great farmers and show case to the world the food production potentials of our dear state, thereby creating a huge market to attract investors for our people to earn from their sweat.
Ill, Creation of regional coordinators, ward Exco and other people oriented liaisons to bring all sons and daughters of Igala extraction on board and create a seamless process of inclusion in the affairs of the ICDA.
IV, Consistent awareness and public orientation of our people via townhall meetings, radio announcements and direct interaction on pertinent issues of concern.
V, Direct Involvement and support for our people in terms of security and safety of lives and properties.
Vl, Organizing Igala entertainment summit with reconciliation of factional bodies and integration of our Igala creative industry acts to be better exposed to modern trends and optimal development.
Vll, Support for our grass root cultural troops and evolution of same to national repute and recognition with full costume as same can be seen in the national appeal for Igala color apparels
VIll, Introduction of a harmonized political process to strengthen on our position to reclaim our right of place in the political space in Kogi State and at the National level.
IX, Conferring of ICDA National honors on deserving sons and daughters of the kingdom who have distinguished themselves in the development of Ane Igala to encourage others and also push them to do more for the kingdom.
X, Massive support and mobilization of our people both home and in the diaspora to make the coronation of our dear Ata colorful and memorable.
Xl, Donation of hundreds of customized chairs and rug to the Ata palace which are currently still in use. If the association is non existent or disbanded why associate with it and also accept gifts from it?
Time and space would not allow us bring to print all the gains achieved within the short time we’ve been in office till now, this can only be made possible because our programs have been transparent and people oriented.
What if we may ask has become the sins of this administration that would warrant the constant attacks and intrusion?
Can anyone point to any act of sabotage for the kingdom by this administration?
Why has the ICDA which was once comatose and awaiting burial suddenly become the beautiful bride that everyone wants to marry by all means possible including intimidation and bad press?
We would rescind on our support and inclusion of the ICDA if genuine evidence of sabotage or corruption can be brought forward for public scrutiny as to why this administration would not be allowed to see through its term in office!
Until then, this administration remains the only legally recognized body of the ICDA duly elected by the Igala people to represent its interests and until the same people calls for its dissolution, kindly ignore any directive calling for the suspension of the ICDA.
This move can at best only be a recipe for chaos and disunity and we would not be pushed to become enemies of ourselves by those who seek to keep the Igala kingdom in perpetual retrogression, we have evolved into a major force of national repute and would strive to see the Igala race takes it pride of place among the comity of nations so help us God!
