When we hear the word “corruption” we always take it to be about stealing or extortng money and properties by the leaders but corruption is beyond that. I see it as any behaviour that deviated from ethics, tradition, morality, law and civil virtue by any individual or group not minding their statues in the society. Whether a student, politician, driver, military general, civil servant, wife of a president or governor. When your activities  are gainst the basic norms and regulations, you are already part of the corruption.

Nigerians as a whole had a dream for a great and prosperous Nigeria. They knew that Nigeria will change into a nation with great and prosperous people but the scourge of corruption has distabilized it’s economy and weakened it’s political development.

We are crying and pointing accusing fingers at each other forgetting that we failed to uphold the wisdom of the past generals; our forefathers. We strive so hard to meet up with the needs of education due to congested hostel, high cost of living, campus cultism, unequal access to admission, biased Lecturers and poor supply of electricity and water on campus.

The corruption is caused by fall in education standard, poor maintainace culture, indiscipline, lack of patriotism, unhealthy competition for power and resource, civil appraisal, poor sectorial linkages, dishonesty, misrepresentation, laissez-faire, poor handling of government properties, and greediness. these have hapered the progress of the nation.

The youth are the ones to fight this ill manner in this nation and for that, we need to build dicks of courage to hold back the flood of fear, because without this courage to take risk will accomplish nothing.

We the Youths should never accept to subordinate the truth to our own interest, not obtain any favour that would require fraud and corruption, not to participate in any action that would be harmful to our credibility. Not receive any gift either directly or indirectly that could influence you in the exercise of your rights and duties. If only we will be courageous to say no and have the mind to face the truth, that will serve as a magic keys for us to live the life of integrity.
