Kogi State election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja resume hearing today 19th April, 2024.
Recall that yesterday 18th April, 2024 Court was adjourned abruptly under a dramatic circumstances to enable all parties especially APC to sort out some unfamiliar instances found in their schedule defense.
Today instead of going straight to the business of the day, APC attempted to dribble the Honourable Court yet again, but was met with stiff resistance from the ever ready, competent and well learned legal team of SDP/ Murtala Ajaka. This is once again call for over an hour break to further reconciled the obvious mixed up.
At the resumption from the break, APC informed the court of their three witness and finally presented one for cross examination.
The witness who introduced himself as Mr Adamu Suleiman claimed to be a registered voter of his polling unit but when the list of the registered voters from his polling unit was handed to him, all efforts to find his name prove abortive.
Again , during the process of cross examine the witness, the ghost witness common languages was “I’m not familiar my lord” almost all the questions put before him by SAN Akubo.
By implications, he’s not an eligible registered members of the Polling unit that he claimed to be an agent. The Honorable court have no option than to declare him as Ghost witness
This has forced the honourable Court into an emergency adjournment once again.
